Basic Christian Community

In 1956 BCCs were formed in Brazil. In Kottar Diocese BCC was first formed in Kodimunai parish bu Rev. Fr. M. J. Edwin. In Punnai Nagar BCC was formed by the parish priest Rev. Fr. S. Jesu Retnam in a special holy mass on 20 May 1994. Initially there were 8 BCCs and currently there are 13 BCCs. The parish priests Rev. Fr. S. Jesu Retnam, Rev. Fr. P. Amalraj Navis, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Ladislas, Rev. Fr. G. Justus, Rev. Fr. Dr. A. Albert and Rev. Fr. John A.Kennedy played a vital role of the growth of BCCs in our parish. At present Rev. Fr. S. Solomon is our parish priest and spiritual director of all BCCs.
